RICKY WATTERS
Ricky is a 10-year veteran of the NFL with the San Francisco 49’ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks. He is a champion at all levels as a 5X Pro Bowler, XXIX Super Bowl Champion and NCAA National Champion with the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
His high-stepping style earned him the nickname, Ricky “Running” Watters, with record performances including over 1,000 yards rushing in a season for 3 different teams, scoring 5 touchdowns in a playoff game, and scoring 3 touchdowns in Super Bowl XXIX.
He was the subject of NFL Films’, How Being Adopted Motivated Ricky Watters, and is currently a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Additionally, he is author of, For Who For What, A Warrior’s Journey, and the children’s book, A Gift Called Shane.
As a motivational speaker and champion for kids, Ricky’s message is about staying true to yourself, overcoming adversity, and becoming a better individual after each life challenge. He remains passionate about giving back to the community and continues to inspire youth, especially by creating awareness for children and teens in the foster system.
